CatchOn TV on a Formuler box

Formuler boxes ship with MYTV Online, and adding a portal makes the box a MAC-activated device like a MAG. So the MAC address is registered first.

MYTV Online 3

  1. 1.Open MYTV Online 3.
  2. 2.Go to Content Manager, then Content Sources, then Add.
  3. 3.Choose Add Portal, which registers the box by its MAC.
  4. 4.Enter a nickname and the portal address from your WhatsApp message, then press Connect.
Note.The MAC address hides behind the eye icon next to the Device ID, and it is also on the label under the box. Send it before you connect, or the portal stays empty.

MYTV Online 2

  1. 1.Open MYTV Online 2. A box that does not have it can install it from the Market Store in a minute.
  2. 2.Go to Menu, then Connections, then Add Portal.
  3. 3.Enter a nickname and the portal address, then press Connect.
Note.MYTV Online 2 shows a MAC starting 00:1E:B8. Send it with the prefix changed to 00:1A:79. Skipping that swap is the usual reason a Formuler activation looks like it failed.

With a portal added, the Formuler behaves like a MAG, so the MAG box guide helps if the MAC step stalls. BuzzTV boxes use the same portal idea. Read the channel list before connecting.
